In October, we held our 10th Anniversary Forum, kindly hosted by His Excellency, Jeroen Cooreman, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to the UK.
This was a fantastic opportunity to bring together our community of practice, from the UK and internationally, to focus on the achievements and impact of Waterloo Uncovered over the last decade, as well as look forward to future opportunities.
We were delighted to hear from a number of speakers, including the Waterloo team, archaeology and wellbeing volunteers and representatives from the heritage sector. From our experience, archaeology is a powerful tool to improve the wellbeing of veterans as we support our beneficiaries to engage with heritage. Our interesting discussions, shared insights and best practice from our programmes and identified some key themes, such as collaboration and partnerships. We look forward to sharing more highlights from our forum over the coming weeks.
