George joined as a Trustee in 2025. He served in the British Army for 25 years, culminating with a tour as Commanding Officer of 1st Battalion Coldstream Guards on operations in Afghanistan in 2007/8. Hence a passion for veterans welfare and an enduring interest in Waterloo – and especially Hougoumont Farm. He has been an active supporter of the charity since inception and is delighted to have been invited to become a trustee.
